Resources for measuring health inequalities

June 9, 2022 — CIHI has developed several resources to help you analyze and report on health inequalities through equity stratification. Equity stratification is the process of dividing data into population subgroups for analysis, based on demographic, social, economic or geographic descriptors (also known as stratifiers). The materials on this page identify commonly used stratifiers, data sources and analytical methods that can be applied to your own work.
