In the context of the Canadian Coding Standards, a COVID-19 rapid antigen test (RAT) is not a “COVID-19 lab test.” This clarification applies to coding for the remainder of 2021–2022 and to subsequent fiscal years. We do not expect hospitals to correct previously submitted abstracts that do not comply with this clarification.
