Maureen Kelly - Director, Data Governance
Director, Data Stewardship Initiative

Bio

As director of the Data Stewardship Initiative, Maureen Kelly provides the vision and leadership for one of CIHI’s key strategic initiatives — to advance the adoption of a stewardship approach to Canada’s health data in order to address the existing fragmentation and complexities that limit the sharing and use of health data.

Ms. Kelly has over 25 years of data and analytics experience and has held several leadership positions at CIHI, including inaugural director of CIHI’s Data Governance branch. Prior to joining CIHI in 2003, she worked at the Office for National Statistics in the U.K. and at Statistics Canada, where she focused on population health and social statistics.

Ms. Kelly holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in social and political sciences from Cambridge University, England, and a postgraduate certification in applied statistics.
