Keith Denny is the director of Clinical Data Standards and Quality. His team develops reports to support health system decision-makers. Recent topics include end-of-life care, wait times, hospital readmissions, patient safety, seniors and international comparisons. Mr. Denny has responsibility for the corporate analytical plan, which prioritizes new indicators and reports.
Mr. Denny has more than 20 years of experience in the health sector. Since 2013, he has been a senior researcher with CIHI’s Health System Analysis and Emerging Issues branch. Previous roles have included director of Research and Policy at the Canadian Healthcare Association, manager with CIHI’s Population Health Initiative, and librarian, educator and manager in community and teaching hospitals. He obtained his PhD from the University of Toronto and is an adjunct research professor at Carleton University.
