Cannabis use in Canada — infographic

23% of Canadians reported having used cannabis in the past 12 months. This is similar to parts of the United States where it is legal (20%) and higher than the 11-country average* (9%).

Younger adults are more likely to use cannabis than older adults. Rates of use are 36% for those age 18 to 24, 38% for those age 25 to 34, 26% for those age 35 to 49, 18% for those age 50 to 64 and 8% for those age 65 and older.
