Instructions for Accessing Folio Views Software

You need a CIHI profile to obtain products on CIHI’s eStore. The recommended operating system for eStore is Microsoft Windows 10.

Note: Folio Views is Windows-based and does not work with other operating systems, such as Apple’s macOS, iOS and OS X systems.

Register for a CIHI profile

  1. Register for a CIHI profile (go to step 2 if you already have one):
    • Go to CIHI’s Create Profile page (click Register at the top right of CIHI’s home page). If your organization is not in the drop-down menu, please email help@cihi.ca.
    • Select your organization or site in the drop-down menu.
    • Enter a valid email address.
    • Add your contact information and login credentials.

  1. Log in and accept the Terms and Conditions.
  2. From the My Services page, select eStore.
  3. Click the letter I to jump directly to the section of the list that includes the ICD-10-CA/CCI product.
  4. Select the ICD-10-CA/CCI Folio Views product applicable to you on the eStore page.
    • Select the product ICD-10-CA/CCI, 2022 in either English or French.
    • Click Add to cart.
  5. Agree to the new Folio click-wrap licence agreement in the pop-up window that opens:
    • Read the Folio licence agreement.
    • Click the checkbox.
    • Click I Agree if you agree to the terms.
  6. On the My Shopping Cart page, select Checkout and Confirm Order.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of your receipt to find the download link. Click it to download the installation package.
  8. To view the downloaded zipped file, go to the Downloads folder on your device.
  9. Have your facility’s IT team install the software.

Important note: Before installing Folio Views, all files must be unzipped and extracted by following the instructions below.

Note: v2018 of ICD-10-CA/CCI was used in the instructions for illustration purposes.

Extract the ICD-10-CA/CCI Folio Views files on your device

  1. On your personal drive or desktop, create a new folder where you will save your v2022 ICD-10-CA/CCI files once extracted.
  2. Navigate to your Downloads folder to locate the zipped file and click the files for the installer.
  3. Select Extract all from the Compressed Folder Tools tab, then click Extract in the pop-up window.
  4. In the unzipped folder, double-click CCI-ICD10CA-2022-installer-ENG-1-user to expand all the files.
  5. Once all the files have been expanded, select the setup application to begin the installation process.
  6. Follow the instructions in the setup application to finish the installation.
