For Surgeons and Staff

CJRR’s success has always stemmed from the voluntary participation of Canada’s orthopedic surgeons. With the support of these surgeons and their staff, CIHI is able to produce information on Canada’s joint replacement services that is comparative and comprehensive.

CJRR Web-Based Data Submission and Reports Tool Online Demonstration

The CJRR Web-Based Data Submission and Reports Tool is available for participating surgeons to submit and update data directly to CJRR through a secure online platform. Select from the links below for a demonstration of the tool and training on how to use it. Although these tutorials reflect an earlier version of the application, they provide a good overview of the web submission process. Training resources for the new minimum data set–based version of the tool will be posted here once they are available.

Forms

MDS Data Collection Forms

Effective April 1, 2012, CJRR has streamlined its data submission requirements to a minimum data set (MDS) aligned with those proposed by the International Society of Arthroplasty Registries (ISAR). The new MDS data collection forms are in use for hip and knee replacements performed on or after April 1, 2012.

Historical Forms

The pre-MDS CJRR data collection forms were used for surgical procedures performed up to March 31, 2012. These forms are now retired.
