Ms. Christine Grimm
Ms. Christine Grimm is 1 of 2 members representing the Atlantic (Region 5) on CIHI’s Board of Directors. She is the senior executive director for Digital Health, Analytics and Privacy at the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness. Ms. Grimm came to the department in 2013 from the private sector, where she acquired an in-depth understanding of the complexity of Canada’s health care systems, current trends, best practices and innovation in health care. As a health system leader, Ms. Grimm believes that good information is critical to achieving a high-performing and sustainable health care system. Key drivers of system transformation include modern, integrated digital health information systems that include patients and providers, and using data and advanced analytics to enable rapid value delivery, and to provide actionable insights and evidence for smart, timely decisions.
Having entered the department on the analytics side, she continues to have a special interest in business analytics and information management while building a dedicated advanced analytics team to support improvements in health care and population health using predictive modelling.
Ms. Grimm has a Bachelor of Science in nutrition from St. Francis Xavier University and a Diploma in Management and Administration from Cape Breton University. She is currently completing her Master of Business Administration in community economic development from the Shannon School of Business.
