As much as 30% of health care in Canada is unnecessary, according to Choosing Wisely Canada, a campaign to help physicians and patients engage in conversations about unnecessary tests, treatments and procedures.

When you meet with a health professional, do you ask questions like these:

Do I really need this test, treatment or procedure? What are the downsides? Are there simpler, safer options? What happens if I do nothing?
