The landscape of Canadian health care is changing, and so is CIHI. And, as we prepare for the launch of our new strategic plan, we are updating our look!
This brand refresh will take CIHI’s look to a whole new level. Our signature elements —modernized to reflect current industry standards and leading design practices — will be represented consistently across our various communication channels and products. Notably, the refreshed look meets Canada’s accessibility requirements, which will allow everyone to use our products more easily.
Rolling out our new brand
The most obvious differences are in the colour palette and the style of photography we use. The colours are modern, bright and vibrant, while the images are compelling, evoke emotion and align with our new priority themes:
- Patient experience
- Quality and safety
- Value for money
Further, we redeveloped our online logo to enhance its responsive web design for viewing on handheld devices.
Online, there will be a transition period as we work diligently to redevelop our website and applications in their entirety. The fully refreshed brand won’t appear until our new website is launched. However, all CIHI applications, including our Wait Times and Your Health System tools, will see minor changes in the meantime, such as our logo, font, and headers and footers.
