Greg Webster is the director of Acute and Ambulatory Care Information Services (AACIS) at CIHI. In this role, he leads the operations and future electronic health record (EHR) strategy development for CIHI’s acute and ambulatory care databases, registries and reporting. The AACIS portfolio includes CIHI’s pan-Canadian inpatient, day procedure and emergency department databases (Discharge Abstract Database, Hospital Morbidity Database and National Ambulatory Care Reporting System) and related eReporting products, as well as CIHI’s five clinical registries: the Canadian Organ Replacement Register, Canadian Joint Replacement Registry, Canadian Multiple Sclerosis Monitoring System and National and Ontario trauma registries. Mr. Webster has served as CIHI’s director of Primary Health Care Information and Research and Indicator Development, and he is a member of CIHI’s senior management team.
Mr. Webster has more than 20 years of experience using health data, information and evidence to improve health and health care. He has extensive experience achieving results both nationally and locally through networks and partnerships. Mr. Webster has a Master’s of Science in epidemiology from the University of Toronto and has completed the Ivey Executive Program at the Richard Ivey School of Business.
