Use the visualizations below to explore wait time information for priority procedures.
Wait time information consists of median and 90th percentile wait times, volumes of procedures, and the percentage of patients receiving care within any established benchmark time frames.
- Procedures featured in the tool that have established benchmarks are hip and knee replacement, hip fracture repair, radiation therapy and cataract surgery.
- Additional procedures featured in the tool are CT and MRI scans, 5 cancer surgeries and coronary artery bypass graft.
This interactive tool focuses on national and provincial data for the previous 5 years. Data at the health region level is also available for hip and knee replacement. For information on earlier years, you can download an Excel file containing historical wait time data (XLSX).
Notes
- The exceptions table (on the Trend tab) highlights the differences in provincial reporting compared with the pan-Canadian wait time definitions. For information on the pan-Canadian definitions and data sources, visit the wait time metadata page.
