November 19, 2020 — In spring 2020, Canada’s provinces and territories both prepared for a potential surge of COVID-19 patients and worked to reduce the spread of COVID-19 during Wave 1. This kept infection rates in Canada relatively low. However, these measures affected all those who needed health services, COVID-19–related or not. We’ve gathered data to highlight the impact of COVID-19 on Canada’s health care systems from March to June 2020.
