Putting patients first
We know that we can learn from peers; it’s important to remember that we can also learn from patients. CIHI held its first Patient‑Centred Measurement Peer Learning Day last December. The 40 attendees had a broad range of knowledge and experience in the use of patient‑centred measurement data, which made for a lively discussion and a wonderful opportunity to learn from and with each other. Presenters included experts from the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio and the Bureau of Health Information in Australia. Several patients also participated, adding a unique perspective to the dialogue. A summary of the day is now available in the form of a resource toolkit (PDF).
