Ms. Sylvie Vézina
Ms. Sylvie Vézina is 1 of 2 members representing Quebec on CIHI’s Board of Directors. She is the deputy managing director of Information, Performance and Evaluation at the ministère de la santé et des services sociaux (MSSS) in Quebec. Her mandate is to develop and implement a formal process for constructing indicators to enable accountability and performance measurement based on the needs of information users, in collaboration with internal and external experts and partners (e.g., CIHI). Prior to her appointment as deputy managing director, Ms. Vézina held a similar role as scientific unit head at the Public Health Information Centre at the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ). Ms. Vézina holds 2 master’s degrees: one in anthropology (focus on ethics and public health) and the other in community medicine.
