Cathy Davis
Director, Acute and Ambulatory Care Information Services

Cathy Davis is Director of Acute and Ambulatory Information Services at CIHI. In this role, Cathy leads the development and implementation of CIHI’s acute inpatient, emergency and ambulatory data, including the Discharge Abstract Database, the Hospital Morbidity Database and the National Ambulatory Care Reporting System. She also oversees the CIHI Portal and Decision Support Services, which provides authorized users with customized data to support decision-making. Cathy is a member of CIHI's senior management team.

Cathy has more than 30 years of experience using health data and information. Before coming to CIHI, she worked as a director in several large teaching hospitals where she was responsible for decision support and implementation of electronic health record systems.

She has an undergraduate degree in health information management and a master’s degree in education.
