The Home and Continuing Care program area at the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) is pleased to announce that 2011–2012 data from the Home Care Reporting System (HCRS) is now available.
The 2011–2012 HCRS data includes demographic, administrative, clinical and resource utilization information from publicly funded home care programs in Ontario, British Columbia and Yukon. See the HCRS Quick Stats for data tables that provide a snapshot of these clients.
More detailed data on client characteristics and aggregate clinical outputs—such as quality indicators, outcome scales, clinical assessment protocols and resource utilization—may be of particular interest to researchers, health care facilities, regional health authorities, ministries of health and others. Please visit our website to learn how to make a customized data request.
Please contact the Home Care team via email at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or comments about HCRS.
The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) collects and analyzes information on health and health care in Canada and makes it publicly available. Canada's federal, provincial and territorial governments created CIHI as a not-for-profit, independent organization dedicated to forging a common approach to Canadian health information. CIHI's goal: to provide timely, accurate and comparable information. CIHI's data and reports inform health policies, support the effective delivery of health services and raise awareness among Canadians of the factors that contribute to good health.
